A portion of the bark case in which Dr David Livingstone's body was borne from Central Africa to Zanzibar by his followers (with handwritten inscription inserted), together with a handwritten letter dated 1887 from Horace Waller at Twywell Rectory, Thrapston to a Captain Hogg which begins "At last I send you the relic of Dr Livingstone, with many apologies for the delay". Horace Waller, worked as a missionary in Africa with Livingstone, an old friend who often stayed with Waller at the Vicarage in Leytonstone. The letter also mentions Abdullah Susi, servant to David Livingstone
